Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas Ya'll! Hope you are all enjoying this holiday season. I'm very glad to be done with school for the next two weeks, it has been nice to have no big plans and being able to sleep in and get some rest.

Cathy flys in tomorrow afternoon and I think we are all ready and excited to see her. From the time she gets in we will be busy getting things ready for Thursday as Christmas with the Kindrick's will be held at their house. Me, Jerimiah and Griffin (our dog) will be spending the night over there tomorrow night and it should be fun. For me, this marks a new milestone as I truly believe this is the first Christmas not to be spent with anyone from my side of the family. My dad and Brenda will be in Fairfax, my sister will be in Thailand and the rest of the family scattered throughout as they normal are.

This time of the year can always be the hardest for me. Mom's birthday is December 7 and then follow that up with Christmas. She loved this time of the year. Or seemed too and always stressed her self way out with making sure she got just the right presents for everyone. That was the type of person she was. In all her suffering and trials that she went through, she was always more concerned with caring for others and thinking about others. We were very lucky. I remember taking many trips back and forth, especially when she could not drive anymore so that she could get all her shopping complete for me, my sister and dad. I guess this is why this time of year has now become so special to me. Although it has been 4 years since Mom has been gone, it is still hard. But the good memories that come with past holiday's make me smile and remember all the good times we all shared together. Whether we were home in Sioux Center, or stuck in a blizzard on our way to North Dakota, the memories will be there forever.

Lazy Saturday

17 Weeks
Hi all,



Not to much going on here. Jerimiah worked from 6 this morning until about 4:30 and I pretty much watched tv and stayed in my pj's all day long. It was nice just to relax and have nothing to do. We spent sometime over at his parent's tonight because in the morning Cathy is leaving for 2 weeks to start her new job at the North Slope of Alaska. She is doing document control for an oil company and will work 2 weeks on and then have 2 weeks off back here in Houston. She will fly home Christmas Eve so we are glad she will be back in time for the holidays.



Other then that, not too much going on this weekend. Jerimiah has finals this week and I am down to 2 weeks of school before the winter break. The kids are starting to get anxious for a break so it may be a long 10 days with them. Good thing we have lots of holiday activities planned for them.

Ok really EARLY Wednesday morning... I'm busy with finals and work what else can I say.

So... The TEXANS WON!!!! On thier first Monday Night Football appearence the took it to the Jags!!! I'm stoked!!! Now can someone find the tickets to Hawaii for Mario Williams. Go watch the video below... 3 SACKS!!! And Steve Slaton... MIGHTY MOUSE anyone???

Thanks giving was great, Sara made and AWESOME pecan pie. The girl really can cook.

It's a BOY!!

Well, here he is folks! We went in today for the ultrasound and found out it is a boy! We were excited for either but it is going to be extra fun for our nephew Max to grow up with a boy cousin so close. Max was born in July and will be 10 months when our baby is born. Jerimiah's sister has already boxed up his newborn stuff for us so it is going to be really nice have boys so close in age.

As of now, we will name him Cohen Lee. Cohen is a family name on Jerimiah's mom's grandmother's side from Australia. Lee is after my dad (Brandt Lee), his birth mother's side--The Leih's (different spelling) and it just happened to be my sister's middle name also (Amy Lee).

I'm cooking dinner.

Sara is passed out on the couch... No wait... she's yelling at the dog AGAIN!!!

Welcome!

Since it seems everyone has a blog now these days, I decided to join. And, since so many of my family and friends are so far away, this will be a great way to keep you all informed of the things going on here in Texas. Also, it will be a great way to keep everyone up to date on the developments of Baby K once he or she arrives in May. That's all for now, come back and check us out again soon.
